About Flax Seed Oil
PureFlax Flax Seed Oil comes from the gentle cold pressing of the seeds from the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum, L.), a beautiful blue flowering plant. Flaxseed oil contains both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which are needed for good health.
Of all the vegetable oils, Flax Oil (or Linseed Oil) has the highest levels of Omega-3 fatty acids – which makes up about 25% of every cell membrane in the body. Flax Oil contains a particular Omega-3 fatty acid called Alpha-linolenic Acid (ALA).

Did You Know?
PureFlax Flax Seed Oil is an excellent alternative to fish oils such as Cod Liver Oil which has become more expensive and scarcer due to stricter Icelandic fishing quotas and rising global demand.
And in common with other types of vegetable oils, flax oil is a slow-release energy source which makes it easy to digest.
Storing Flax Seed Oil
Flax seed oil needs to be stored in a cool, dry location and should be purchased regularly to ensure you are using the freshest possible oil (we continually press our oil so it’s always fresh!), in a container size that suits your particular use.
We take every care in the manufacturing and packaging of PureFlax Flax Seed Oil, minimising exposure to light, heat and air in order to preserve the product. Cold pressing the flax oil also keep the delicate molecules in place.
When looking at your flax seed oil it should be a deep, rich gold colour with a fresh smell. If it has gone rancid, throw it out!
